The Two-Part Challenge
Part 1: Spell the Capital
A capital city appears as a series of underlines. Guess letters to solve the name, but be careful—you only get 6 misses per city!
Part 2: Name the State
Once you solve the capital, you must correctly type its matching state to complete the challenge and earn your points.

How to Play: A Quick Guide
Launch the Game
Click the Login / Signup link in the top navigation. Then click the Students - Play Web Games box.
Choose a Player
Enter your class code (given to you by your teacher or parent). Pick your name from the drop down list and enter your PIN. Then click the Login button.
Play US States & Capitals
Begin your US Geography challenge. Be ready to guess one of our 50 state capital names.
Guess the Capital City (Hangman Style!)
A set of blanks will appear, showing the number of letters in a US capital's name.
- Type letters one by one to guess the capital.
- If you guess a correct letter, it will appear in the blanks.
- Be careful! You only have 5 misses before you have to move on.
Name the State
Once you correctly guess the capital city, you'll then be asked to type in the name of the state where that capital is located.
The game is over once you have correctly matched all 10 capitals with their states. Good luck!
